Instagram now lets users edit comments within 15 minutes

Instagram has rolled out a new feature that allows users to edit their comments after posting, giving them a short window to fix mistakes without deleting and reposting.

Users can now edit comments within 15 minutes of posting them. During this time, multiple edits are allowed, making it easier to correct typos or update wording.

To use the feature, users simply need to tap the “Edit” option that appears after posting a comment. Once a comment is modified, it will display an “Edited” label to indicate that changes were made.

The update may seem minor, but it addresses a long-standing limitation on the platform, where users previously had to delete comments entirely just to fix small errors.

Instagram began testing the feature earlier, and it is now rolling out more broadly to users.
